Touching and deeply moved. We actually have no idea what living through the horrors of a war zone is like. Globally. We suffer in comfort,in privilege, and until we go Deep into the Cave ,we still will not know ,how heavy and dark. Thank you Amy
Your writing feels like a guiding voice through my own darkness, where every other standard, logic driven approaches have failed. The need to dive back into my own darkness. Thank you for this reminder. It couldn’t come at a more synchronous time. 🖤
Hi Marlene, I am so moved to hear this. Tunnelling through the darkness within ourselves can be such a disorienting and frightening thing, though the gifts that lie hidden there are precious. I am glad you could find resonance in my words and sharing. It has always helped me to find myths and stories that resonate too. Perhaps, if you haven't already, you could look into Inanna's Descent into the Underworld, Persephone and Demeter and a book called The Heroine's Journey - perhaps you will find some resonance there too.

Thank you so much for the recommendations! I had the latter on my list for a while; I'll take this as the hint to finally dive into it!
